Dear Readers,
April and March didn’t turn into the months I had hoped for on FS or on any of our sites really, a combination of trivial work that I gave a higher purpose than need be really put a delay on the articles I have in the works for FS. For this I give my deepest apologies.
To make up for my short comings, here’s a list of forth coming publications that I’ll be pumping out the end of this month and into April.
- Article on NETTUTS title “A Non-beginner’s Guide to CSS".
- Video series on Web Design Tuts on the process of taking a design from a pencil sketch to Photoshop mock-up to XHTML/CSS to Wordpress.
- New series on for FS title “Daily Quick Snippets" which will be a daily posting of snippets of code I use on a regular basis or that I find useful in certain situations. (Will also be available as a Twitter feed)
- Special Time-lapse video of converting a website from .PSD to HTML/CSS (possible for FS or NETTUTS)
- Our first giveaway! (Probably starting in May, more details in a later post).
- Interviews! I plan to line up some interviews with some of the forerunners of the web and get them to spill their guts on how they got to their prestige. (If you’re interested, shoot me an email at “fireg[at]fire-studios.com" or @ me on my twitter page, I always respond!)
- FS-Air officially joins the Fire Interactive family as a separate site (instead of its current position as a child of FS).
Like I said, I’m hoping to get all this done by about half way through April, along with getting some more guest postings going on (maybe adding another member to the FS team).
FS-Air
For All our listeners, you’ve probably noticed a significant increase in delay between each episode and its release. While I can’t give any meaningful excuse besides like I said before, I let trivial items take priority, I promise to start executing and releasing the episodes in a more reliable time-frame.
I thank each and every one of you readers who subscribe to the RSS feed or visit regularity for your continued support of FS in this mild drought of new content.
Best Regards,
Fire G | Editor / Owner
(PS: some of you may be wondering why there’s a jump from 5 to 7 in the editor numerology, it’s because our provider went down for a while and our backup was a week before #6 went online, and stupid me didn’t keep a local copy…)
