Hi Everyone,

I've created a very short screencast today, to walk you through installing Wordpress.

I can do other CMS's and Scripts if you reply to the post with a comment for me with the CMS/Script name and a URL to their website.

The screencast goes for about 6 or so Minutes, and explains basically the simple steps to install wordpress such as downloading, adding in the database information and so on. I haven't included uploading or extracting the wordpress files, as it may be the topic for another screencast.

Well after many months of planning and even more weeks of recording, editing, designing, and coding, FS-Air has finally been released! FS-A Launched at 12am (EST) Saturday the 29th with episode 1 "Coding in school" being the first episode available to the general public! And a new episode being released every Friday!

Why Is Design Important?

We all know the saying Don't Judge a book by it's cover, but in the big virtual space we call the internet, the first look is vitally important.

It's those first few seconds where a user will scan your page and look at the design and a little content, i know i find myself doing this all the time. To me, i feel that if a website is going to have good quality content, then the author will at least try and put some effort into a quality design.

Below i've got some great examples of great design and some examples of horrible design. I'll be explaining how each appeals to me, and how it can also appeal to users. This is a show case and also a way for designers, developers and webmasters to learn about how design affects how users perceive your website on first impression.
